Guy and Mae Ross built this bungalow about 1925. Mildred Brigham Comparet bought the house around 1931 after her husband’s death in order to be close to her family and business. Mildred, a sister of Percy Brigham, was a business partner with her brother-in-law Francis (Boog) Comparet. “Mrs. Mildred,” as she was called, enjoyed the bungalow until her death in 1959. Since then several families have called it home. Hill Country Real Estate now operates out of the house.

The house is a good example of a 1920s bungalow and preserves most of its original design. A one-story, wood-framed building with horizontal lap siding, it is one of the few intact examples of 1920s housing left in Blanco.
