The Texas Regional Bank building was constructed circa 1923 by Blanco National Bank, expanded in the 1960s, and remodeled in 1985-86 to incorporate an adjoining building to the west. The building was faced with large panels of fossil limestone and was covered in rough-faced limestone.
Mr. L.H. Wall ran a carpentry and undertaking business in several small frame buildings on the corner now occupied by the bank. According to Bernice West, a well in that area had the best water in town, and she asked her mother to stop there for water whenever they visited town.
The bank also has offices next door in the Old Confectionery Building, which was built circa 1920. Cedar siding and cedar shake awning posts were added in the 1960s. Many businesses have been located in this building but it is most remembered for the confectionery which operated there for over 30 years in the mid-20th century.
